These are the products I recommend to friends, family, and clients. The list is short, opinionated, and completely independent.
Sound
Speakers, home theatre, and headphones. The question I get asked most. This is what I tell friends to buy when they want music and cinema at home without a rack of black boxes.
Sonos Arc Ultra
The one-cable soundbar answer. Dolby Atmos that fills a living room, and it grows into a full surround system later.
Sonos Era 300 (pair)
As surrounds with an Arc they are genuinely startling. Atmos height from the back of the room. Also a great standalone music pair.
Beosound A1 (2nd gen)
The portable speaker I recommend when someone says "just something small that sounds great." Waterproof, years of updates, ages beautifully.
Beosound Emerge
A speaker shaped like a book, designed to live on a shelf spine-out. The most B&O idea of the modern lineup.
Beoplay H95
Over-ear flagship. Lambskin, machined aluminium dials, and noise cancelling that competes with anyone, in a build nobody else matches.
AirPods Pro
Still the default earbuds if you live in the Apple world. The hearing-health features alone justify the upgrade from older pairs.
Television
Helping someone choose a TV is one of my favourite jobs. The short version: get an OLED, get the size up, and spend the leftover on sound.
LG OLED evo C-series 65″
The default answer to "which TV should I get?" Perfect blacks, great for film and console gaming, sane price for what it is.
LG OLED evo G-series 65″
The step up when the TV hangs on the wall like a picture frame. Brighter panel, zero gap, gallery looks. Worth it in a bright room.
Phones
The device you touch a hundred times a day deserves the most thought, and needs the least. Here is the short list.
iPhone 17
The default answer for almost everyone. The base model finally gets the good screen. Most people should stop reading here.
iPhone 17 Pro
For the camera people. If you shoot video of your kids, your food, or your business, the Pro pays for itself in keepers.
Computers
I keep it simple: Macs for almost everything, and one Windows machine I actually respect. This is the list I send when someone is upgrading.
MacBook Air 13″ (M4)
The laptop for almost everyone. Silent, all-day battery, and fast enough that most people will never notice a limit.
Mac mini (M4)
The best value in computing today. Bring your own screen and keyboard and you have a serious desktop for the price of a mid-range phone.
iPad Pro 13″
Overkill in the best way: the OLED screen is the nicest display Apple sells at any size. For reading, drawing, and travel editing.
Microsoft Surface Laptop
When it has to be Windows, it should be a Surface, the one Windows laptop built like someone cared about the whole object.
Connectivity & Wi-Fi
Good internet is invisible. The network gear I actually install. Prosumer kit that makes home and small-office Wi-Fi boring, in the best way.
UniFi Dream Router 7
One box that replaces the ISP router and does it properly: real firewall, VLANs, and the UniFi console built in.
U7 Pro Access Point
Wi-Fi 7 ceiling access point. The single biggest upgrade for a house with dead zones. Wire it once, forget it exists.
Flex Mini 2.5G Switch
Five 2.5-gigabit ports, palm-sized, powered over USB-C. The cheapest way to make a media cabinet tidy and fast.
Smart Home
Home automation that a guest never notices and a family never fights with. Start small (lights and heat) and let the house earn your trust.
Philips Hue starter kit
The gateway drug of the smart home. Lights that dim warm in the evening change how a room feels. Start with the rooms you live in.
tado° Smart Thermostat
The Irish-weather pick. Heats the house before you get home, stops when a window opens, and the savings are real.
Apple TV 4K
The best streaming box, and quietly the best home hub. It runs the automations and keeps everything local and private.
Aqara sensor kit
Door, motion, and climate sensors that just work with Apple Home. The cheap invisible layer that makes automations feel like magic.
Iconic Vintage
The museum's taste, still buyable. Restored and re-issued Bang & Olufsen classics (BeoLab, BeoSound, BeoVision) for people who want the machines that started it all.
BeoLab 8000 (restored pair)
The pencil-slim columns from the museum, professionally restored. Thirty years old and still the most elegant way to fill a room.
BeoSound 9000 (restored)
Six CDs behind glass, wall-mounted like the sculpture it is. A restored 9000 is the single most impressive object you can hang in a living room.
Beogram 4000c Recreated
B&O's own factory restoration of the 1972 tangential turntable. Original decks rebuilt in Struer, numbered and boxed like jewellery.
BeoVision Harmony
The OLED that performs for you. Oak-and-aluminium wings fan open as the screen rises. The most theatrical TV ever made, and it earns it.
BeoVision Horizon
B&O's quietest TV design, a clean 4K slab on a wheeled easel, made to lean against the wall like a canvas.
BeoVision Avant
The TV that turns to face you. Motorised stand, hidden speakers, pure presence. Avant has meant "the theatrical one" since 1995.
BeoPlay V1
Cecilie Manz's compact angular TV. Hang it, stand it, or tuck it into a corner. Proof B&O could do playful without losing the plot.
